8 Hours in Singapore — The Ultimate Highlights (Grab)

Transport: Grab · Vibe: Maximum efficiency & iconic views · Pace: Fast-Track

Eight hours and a Grab account are all you need to cover four distinct neighbourhoods. By bypassing the MRT commute, we've added Little India to the standard "Must-Do" list, giving you a wider slice of Singapore's multicultural heritage alongside the futuristic bayfront scenery.

Leaving Changi

Download the Grab app before you land. From any terminal, follow signs to the "Arrival Pick-up" point. Booking a Grab takes 3-5 minutes. A ride to the city typically takes 20 minutes depending on traffic.

Stop 1 — Merlion Park

Arrive: ~35 min after leaving Changi · Duration: 45 minutes

The Merlion is Singapore's most iconic symbol. Standing at the waterfront, you'll have the best panoramic view of the Marina Bay Sands and the central business district. It’s the essential "I was in Singapore" photo stop.

📸 Photo moment: Use the wide-angle setting to get the Merlion and the full width of Marina Bay Sands in one shot.

Stop 2 — Little India & Tekka Centre

Arrive: ~1h 35min after leaving Changi · Duration: 1 hour

A 12-minute Grab ride takes you into the sensory explosion of Little India. Tekka Centre is a bustling wet market and hawker centre where traditional Indian spices, textiles, and local food collide. It is the most colourful district in the city.

Stop 3 — Chinatown & Maxwell Food Centre

Arrive: ~2h 45min after leaving Changi · Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Lunch at Maxwell. Order the chicken rice from Tian Tian or the fish soup from Jin Hua. Afterward, take a 5-minute walk down Pagoda Street to soak in the traditional shophouse architecture and red lanterns of the historic Chinese quarter.

📸 Photo moment: The golden interior of the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple is free to visit and incredibly photogenic.

Stop 4 — Gardens by the Bay

Arrive: ~4h 30min after leaving Changi · Duration: 2 hours

The futuristic side of Singapore. Explore the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome conservatories. These engineering masterpieces house rare plants from across the globe in a climate-controlled "eternal spring."

📸 Photo moment: Stand at the base of the massive indoor waterfall in the Cloud Forest.

Stop 5 — The Jewel Finale

Arrive: ~6h 50min after leaving Changi · Duration: 1 hour

End your trip at the airport’s Jewel complex. The HSBC Rain Vortex is the tallest indoor waterfall in the world. It’s an easy walk from any terminal and the best way to spend your final hour before boarding.
